Our Story
Built for every child's future — on the world's most prestigious stage.
Founder's Story
US STREAM International Inc. was founded by a Korean-American immigrant who understood firsthand what it means to navigate a new culture, find your voice in a new language, and work twice as hard to be seen. That personal experience became a mission.
The idea was simple but radical: bring underserved children — many from immigrant families just like the founder's own — onto one of the world's greatest stages, free of charge. Not as spectators. As performers. As speakers. As leaders.
Since our first event in 2023, US STREAM has grown from a vision into an annual tradition, bringing students from New York's most underserved communities to a world-class venue each year around a meaningful historical theme. Every event sends the same message to every child who walks through those doors: You belong here.
US STREAM International Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering K-12 students — particularly those from underserved communities — through international speech competitions and multicultural arts festivals. We foster communication skills, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding, bridging the gap in access to high-quality arts and STREAM education.
We envision a world where every child, regardless of socioeconomic background or geographic location, has the platform to share their voice on the world's most prestigious stages. We strive to bridge the gap in access to elite educational opportunities, fostering a community of confident, culturally aware global citizens.
How We Create Change
Our model is built on a proven insight: prestige creates motivation. When a child knows they will stand on a world-class stage, they work harder, write more carefully, and practice with more dedication than any homework assignment could inspire.
The promise of performing at a legendary concert venue gives students a reason to excel that transcends grades. It creates aspiration, pride, and a sense of possibility.
Through English speech competitions and multicultural arts, students develop research skills, critical thinking, linguistic courage, and cultural pride — all at once.
We inspire parents, schools, and communities to rally around student growth, creating a network of support that extends far beyond the event itself.
Students who complete the program demonstrate measurable gains in confidence, public speaking ability, and cross-cultural understanding — skills they carry for life.
